4-8-2020 at 2:25 PM  Quick work by Maugansville firefighters and mutual aid companies kept an abandoned barn from burning to the ground today.The fire which was accidental was started when a controlled burn got away from the property owner. Maugansville Firefighters remind our citizens that  during the dry season burning is very dangerous and caution should be exercised.

Update Dispatched at 1425 for a Barn Fire in the 13,100blk of Salem Church Rd. Crews found a burn pile that had extended to a nearby barn. The barn did not have anything inside and was, for the most part, already torn down. Crews used 2 cross lays to knock down the fire. The deck gun was used due to the stability of the barn, command 13 did not allow personnel around the barn during overhaul.
