Prior to joining the United States Marine Corp in 1987 I joined the Leitersburg Volunteer Fire Company, this was my first experience in the fire service. Upon returning from four years of service in the corp I became more active with the fire company and in 1995 was hired by the National Institute of Standards and Technology as a career firefighter and was promoted to Captain in 2005, I still serve there today.

I joined the Maugansville Fire Company in 2011 after our family moved to the Maugansville community. I have held the positions of firefighter, Captain, and my current role of Chief.
My wife Gail and I have six children, four grandchildren.

I look forward to working with all members to improve membership, fundraising, training, and other facets of the department. We will work hard and strive to have our department grow in many areas of the fire service.
