Mobile Home Fire
On June 25,2024 at approximately 6:42pm, the Maugansville Goodwill Fire Department and surrounding departments were alerted to a box 13-27 for a mobile home fire with multiple entrapments. Within minutes, Engine 132 arrived on scene with smoke showing and requested the working fire assignment. Deputy Chief 3 from the City of Hagerstown assumed command while a crew of 3 from Maugansville (pictured) made entry to search for victims. One occupant self extracted with burns to the face. With the help of HFD Engine 2 and crews from Long Meadow Fire Department, an unconscious female was located and removed from the residence. Trooper 3 was called for transport of one of the patients. One dog was also removed from the home. A small fire was quickly contained after confirming all victims were accounted for.
